Throughout his legal career, Royce worked at some of the nation's most demanding law firms and corporate environments while witnessing firsthand the challenges facing young professionals.
After losing colleagues to suicide and observing the growing mental health crisis among attorneys and student-athletes, Royce developed the principles that became 5 Star Day; five evidence-based principles designed to strengthen physical and mental well-being while reducing stress, depression, and suicidal ideation.

Mindfulness is the practice of living fully in the present moment. It involves awareness, reflection, acceptance, and the discovery of purpose. Whether through prayer, meditation, music, reflection, or quiet contemplation, mindfulness strengthens your relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you. According to the 5 Star Day framework, mindfulness is the foundation upon which positive well-being is built.
